Manufacturing Council

The goal of the Manufacturing Council is to elevate manufacturing in Iowa by providing a forum to:

• Foster development of the best state-manufacturing climate in the U.S.
• Improve the image of manufacturing beyond the repetitive, manual-labor stereotype of the past
• Drive best-in-class resources to Iowa manufacturers
• Share best practices and successes
• Assist in problem-solving
• Develop and strengthen a grassroots manufacturing network across the state
• Hopefully set the stage for large manufacturers to mentor smaller businesses
• Unite as a group to speak for/on behalf of Iowa manufacturers when appropriate
