Safety Director, John Deere Des Moines Works
Steve has nearly 22 years with John Deere and is the current Safety and Health Director for the John Deere Des Moines Works in Ankeny, Iowa. He started with the company in 1977 as a Summer Student and progressed through various assignments over the years at seven different John Deere Facilties. He has worked in Safety, Materials Engineering, Production Control, Human Resources, Training, Sales and Information Systems. In 1989 he left Deere to work as a Sales Representative for a National Safety Sales Distribution Company, returning to Deer in 1998 to help start up their new Manufacturing Facility outside Raleigh, North Carolina. Since returning to Deere, he has held assignmentsof increasing responsibilites in their Illinois and Iowa Operations.
