| Companies would have to give written notice sixty (60) days before a layoff affecting fifty (50) or more employees to both Iowa Workforce Development and the affected employees. Additionally, if a company is to be sold, the seller must notify employees if positions would be eliminated. The Department would issue penalties to companies who did not adhere to the requirements. | | |
