| Will lower eligibility standards under Iowa law to provide a 13-week extension of unemployment benefits through a federal unemployment fund. The fund is bankrupt and borrowing dollars from the federal government, would be repaid with interest by employers’ FUTA taxes. Will permit extension beyond 86 weeks of unemployment benefits for some Iowans costing an additional $34 million. |
