Apprenticeship Week is Next Week

Registered Apprenticeship Appreciation and Awareness Week will be Nov. 13–17. Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a proclamation on Nov. 2 to highlight the importance of registered apprenticeship training. Iowa is recognized as a leader when it comes to apprenticeship programs in the country with 846 active registered apprenticeship programs and 8,720 registered apprentices as of Nov. 2. Growth in apprenticeship programs is another way for employers to work to close the skills gap. Read the full news release.
