CTE bill receives consideration

March 3, 2016

The Iowa House on Thursday passed HF 2392 to modernize Iowa’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. The legislation, which does not have a senate companion, passed with a bipartisan vote of 96-0. The bill encourages regional CTE partnerships, career academies and collaboration between education, community colleges and businesses. The bill will now move to the Senate where it will most likely be referred to the Senate Education Committee. Staff contact: Nicole Crain
