Economic development proposals advance

Next week, we expect the House to debate House File 2438, the renewable chemical tax credit bill. The Senate passed the bill last week. ABI has joined members and several other organizations in support of the legislation.

The Iowa House Ways and Means Committee passed House File 2443, the Economic Development Authority’s policy bill. The bill makes minor changes to existing programs of the Authority and adds additional language related to the historic preservation tax credit program. The legislation is now eligible for debate in the House.
