Federal Spotlight: Obama vetoes resolution to repeal WOTUS

President Obama has vetoed a resolution passed by Congress to repeal the Waters of the U.S. rule, known as WOTUS. U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) spearheaded efforts to repeal WOTUS. Obama’s veto was disappointing but expected. Click here to read his veto message. In order to override the veto it would take a 2/3 vote of the U.S. House and Senate, which will be challenging given the close nature of the U.S. Senate.
