Iowa Caucus chaos complete with record turnout

February 4, 2016

More than 250,000 Iowans participated in the caucuses this year. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton narrowly won the Democratic caucus and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) won the Republican caucus.

ABI, in collaboration with BIPAC, spent months educating employers, employees and the public about the importance of understanding the issues and participating in the caucus process.

In addition to the Iowa Caucus Toolkit, ABI worked with member companies to open their doors and invite presidential candidates to better understand issues that Iowa employers deal with every day.

Thank you to all the member companies who participated in the caucus initiative by speaking with candidates, holding meetings at your facilities and, in particular, talking to your employees about the caucus. As the 2016 election season continues, look for more opportunities to get engaged and get employees engaged in the political process!
