Iowa Utilities Board approves Bakken pipeline

March 10, 2016

The Iowa Utilities Board on Thursday unanimously approved a permit for the Dakota Access pipeline, which would transport oil from the Bakken oil fields in North Dakota to Patoka, Ill. Iowa is the final state to approve the pipeline construction. ABI has supported this project as a member of the Midwest Alliance for Infrastructure Now (MAIN), because it will generate quality construction jobs, boost local economies and help free up the rail network, which benefits farmers and other businesses who transport products by train.
