Legislators and state officials meet with ABI members

June 23, 2016

Members of the Iowa Legislature also attended the ABI conference in Sioux City. Rep. Mary Ann Hanusa (R-Council Bluffs), chairwoman of the House Economic Growth Committee; Rep. David Sieck (R-Glenwood); Rep. Chris Hall (D-Sioux City), who is ranking member the House Appropriations Committee, and former Speaker of the House Rep. Kraig Paulsen (R-Hiawatha), all visited with members during the event. In addition to legislators, ABI was pleased to welcome Secretary of State Paul Pate and Deputy Secretary of State Michael Ross. Debi Durham, director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority, and Beth Townsend, director of Iowa Workforce Development, also attended. The number of statewide elected officials and leaders show the footprint ABI has in the state thanks to the support of its members.
