Registration opens for 2017 Taking Care of Business Conference

Registration opens today, February 22, for the Iowa Association of Business and Industry’s 2017 Taking Care of Business Conference. The annual ABI conference, now in its 114th year, is expected to draw more than 600 business leaders to Dubuque, June 6-8.

This year’s conference will feature keynote speeches by Robert Richman, culture strategist and co-creator of Zappos Insights; author and leadership coach Tommy Spaulding; and Wartburg College professor and leadership fellow Bill Withers.

“Each year we look forward to providing world-class speakers, unique learning opportunities and unparalleled networking at the Taking Care of Business Conference,” ABI President Mike Ralston said. “We are excited to return to Dubuque where we can enjoy fantastic venues and the marvelous Mississippi riverfront, while highlighting local iconic businesses.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in behind-the-scenes tours of local companies, as well as historical and redevelopment tours that will take participants throughout the city to learn about local landmarks.

This year, the conference will highlight ways in which Iowa companies give back to their employees, communities, the state and even globally. Workshops will offer insight and best practices on everything from establishing a corporate giving strategy to business operations and leadership development.

The event is open to ABI members and non-members. Click here to learn more and to register.
