Hundreds of business leaders from around Iowa and the Midwest will travel to Sioux City, June 14-16, for the Iowa Association of Business and Industry’s (ABI) annual Taking Care of Business Conference.

The Taking Care of Business Conference is Iowa’s premiere statewide business conference featuring world-class speakers, including popular ESPN commentator Dick Vitale and motivational speaker and comedian Steve Rizzo.

The conference also provides relevant and impactful educational opportunities and the chance to network with more than 500 executives with decision-making authority.

“No other event in Iowa attracts as many decision-makers looking to learn and network,” said ABI Board Chairman Paul Gregoire, global vice president of Human Resources at Emerson/Fisher in Marshalltown, said. “We are proud to bring the Taking Care of Business Conference back to Sioux City to show off all the great advancements that have occurred over the past decade.”

ABI last hosted its annual conference in Sioux City in 2006. Attendees at the Taking care of Business Conference will fill about 250 hotel rooms over the three-day event and take advantage of regional gems, including the gorgeous Orpheum Theatre and Dakota Dunes Golf and Country Club.

Attendees will also have a chance to participate in exclusive, one-of-a-kind tours of local businesses State Steel, American Pop Corn and Wells Enterprises.

“This is a unique opportunity to showcase Sioux City and the progress we have going on here, all while providing local businesspeople access to premier networking, speakers and expert advice on a variety of important business issues,” said Larry Countryman, chief financial officer and treasurer of Sioux City- based Wilson Trailer and a member of the ABI Board of Directors.
