ABI’s PAC Endorses Three Additional ‘Friends of Iowa Business’

Three additional candidates have received the influential Friend of Iowa Business endorsement from IIPAC, the Iowa Association of Business and Industry’s (ABI) political action committee:

  • Brooke Boden – House District 26
  • Cherielynn Westrich – House District 81
  • Jeff Reichman – Senate District 42

“These candidates have distinguished themselves as champions of pro-growth policies,” said ABI Board Chair Steven Bradford. “They support Iowa businesses, along with the people and communities those businesses serve. We’re pleased to recognize them for their important efforts.”

This brings IIPAC’s total number of endorsed candidates to 79—59 for the Iowa House and 20 for the Iowa Senate. IIPAC announced its first round of Friend of Iowa Business endorsements on September 10.

The nonpartisan IIPAC Board, comprised of IIPAC contributors, makes the Friends of Iowa Business selections. The board encourages voters to consider these endorsements when evaluating where candidates stand on business.

Candidates are evaluated on their support for a competitive business climate and their focus on a regulatory climate conducive for job creation. Criteria included positions on issues based on interviews, stated approach to general business community concerns, voting records of incumbent candidates, and input from ABI members and IIPAC contributors.
