Calling Iowa Leaders Statewide: Leadership Iowa Nominations Due April 1 For Upcoming Class

The deadline is approaching quickly to nominate Iowa leaders for Leadership Iowa, our state’s premier issues-awareness program provided by the Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) Foundation.
Forty Iowa leaders are selected annually to participate. Through an integrated series of eight monthlysessions, Leadership Iowa provides class members with a wide range of eye-opening experiences and insights that highlight the opportunities and challenges facing Iowa.
The program provides the tools needed for leaders to effect change within Iowa’s organizations and communities. More than 1,300 leaders from across Iowa have graduated from Leadership Iowa.
“I anticipate looking back at Leadership Iowa as one of the most impactful personal and professional learning experiences of my life,” said Matt Rebro, Vice President at Russell Construction in Davenport, Iowa, and 2018-19 Leadership Iowa graduate. “The programming alone was worth the time and resources, and the relationships created with my fellow classmates are priceless.”
Leadership Iowa places a high priority on selecting participants for each class that represent a wide variety of industries, professions, backgrounds, civic engagement and geographic locations in our state. The outcomes of Leadership Iowa are far greater when participants can connect across industry and county lines. These invaluable connections forged through program participation often result in future collaboration and lasting partnerships.
Workplaces and communities across the state benefit from representation in the program as the ideas and inspiration gained through their participants can often be applied locally in a number of ways. Leadership Iowa is one way that companies can retain talent and invest in the personal and professional development of their employees.
Nominations will be accepted through April 1 for the upcoming class, beginning in October 2022 through June 2023. Leaders must first be nominated in order to be invited to apply to the program; self-nominations are also encouraged. Nominations can be made online at www.LeadershipIowa.com.
