ABI participates in IWD committee on minority employment

ABI participated on Monday as a key stakeholder in an Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) meeting convened by IWD Director Beth Townsend about ways to address minority unemployment, connecting minority communities to available jobs, increasing diversity in the workplace and bridging the skills gap. The meeting was requested by the IWD State Board of Minority Communities work group. We expect the state IWD board at its July 21 meeting, to consider establishing a formal subcommittee to work on these issues. ABI will continue to be engaged.
