ABI Requests Feedback on Manufacturer Rule

The Iowa Department of Revenue recently proposed rules related to the definition of manufacturer. The rules come as a result of the tax reform bill, SF 2417, that passed last legislative session. The rules update the definition of a manufacturer and also provide several new examples. ABI has been working in conjunction with the Iowa Taxpayers Association to gather feedback from members to provide to the department during the rule process. A public hearing will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27. If you have feedback or concerns with the rule, please provide those to Nicole Crain by Friday, Nov. 23, so they may be incorporated into ABI’s comments.
