American Workforce Advisory Board Makes Recommendations

President Trump’s American Workforce Advisory Board proposed important recommendations when it comes to growing jobs and providing more opportunities for Americans. Gov. Reynolds, who sits on the board and serves on multiple subcommittees, was in Washington D.C. this week for the third meeting of the group. The board proposed a private-sector marketing campaign, digital resume workshops and a more integrated sharing of workforce-related data between the state and federal government. Gov. Reynolds has been a leader in developing innovative solutions to the workforce challenges that exist such as the creation and implementation of Future Ready Iowa, which is designed to close the skills gap and ensure that at least 70% of Iowans have education greater than the high school level by 2025.
