Apply for New COVID-19 Relief Fund Grant; Registered Apprenticeship Expansion Grant Awardees Announced

On Monday, Gov. Reynolds announced the awardees of the Registered Apprenticeship Expansion Grant. Seventy-two projects received a total of approximately $6.6 million. View the awardees.

The new COVID-19 Relief Earn and Learn Grant is also now open for applicants. Among those eligible to apply are nonprofits, small businesses (fewer than 50 employees), post-secondary institutions and more. The purpose of the fund is to boost projects that foster the creation and expansion of short-term training programs and back services resulting in industry-recognized credentials.

Eligible projects are ones that help Iowans whose jobs have been affected by COVID-19. Applicants can apply for up to $250,000, and monies awarded must be expended by Dec. 31. Applications are due by Oct. 26. Apply and learn more here.
