Biochemical bill receives House feedback
January 28, 2016
Members of an Iowa House Economic Growth subcommittee met Wednesday to discuss HSB 518, the companion to SSB 3001, which provides incentives for renewable biochemical production efforts in Iowa. The subcommittee was brief and all members of the committee voiced support of the proposal. The Iowa Senate subcommittee has scheduled another meeting on Feb. 2 at 2:30 p.m. to further discuss the proposal. House Economic Growth Committee Chair Mary Ann Hanusa (R-Council Bluffs) has stated many times it is a priority of her committee to pass this bill in 2016.
