Conference call to discuss new air permit fees is June 23

As many of you know, Senate File 488 authorized the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to collect fees up to a certain amount on Title V applications, major source permits, minor source permits and asbestos notifications. On June 9th and 10th, the DNR held the first stakeholder meetings to discuss and make recommendations for the soon-to-be implemented air permit fees. Materials from the meeting, including the draft rule, are available hereunder Workgroups/Fee Advisory Groups.

In preparation for the stakeholder meeting, ABI members are invited to participate in a conference call onTuesday at 10:00 a.m. The call will review the first meeting and discuss a unified approach to the final recommendation. The DNR will convene another stakeholder meeting in July (tentatively July 8th and 9th) to make recommendations on the specific fee structure within the caps.
