Iowa Unemployment Rate Slightly Drops In May

June 25, 2020

Iowa Workforce Development announced last week that Iowa’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased to 10.0% for the month of May. In April, the unemployment rate was 10.2%. There were 168,100 Iowans out of work during the month, which is approximately 20,000 less than the month of April. Initial unemployment claims continue to pull back as well.
