New House Ways and Means chair named

House Speaker Linda Upmeyer (R-Clear Lake) announced this week that Representative Guy Vander Linden (R-Mahaska) will be the next House Ways and Means Committee Chair, replacing Rep. Tom Sands (R-Oskaloosa), who is retiring. Vander Linden, who lives in Oskaloosa and represents many ABI members, has consistently been endorsed by IIPAC as a Friend of Iowa Business. In addition to serving on the influential Ways and Means Committee, he has also served as the chair of the House State Government Committee, and served on the Commerce and Administrative Rules Review committees.
