Nunn Decides to Forgo Run for Congress

Earlier this week, another first-term state senator announced he would not seek the Republican nomination for the 3rd Congressional District and would instead serve out the remainder of his state senate term. State Senator Zach Nunn (R-Bondurant), a military officer, announced in May that he would be hosting a listening tour around the 3rd District to see whether he might run for Congress. On Tuesday, Nunn announced he was supporting former Congressman David Young (R-Van Meter) in his quest to regain the seat he held prior to November 2018. Nunn is seen as a rising star in the Republican Party, so expect to see his name in the news for some time.
