Pregnancy accommodations proposed

After a failed attempt last year, Sen. Chris Brase (D-Muscatine) has again introduced legislation creating additional workplace accommodations in Iowa law for pregnant women. ABI is concerned that the broad scope of Senate File 18 will negatively burden employers and has registered against this bill. The bill passed out of subcommittee and is now eligible for debate in the full Senate Labor Committee.
