Special election set for Iowa House District

Former State Rep. Chuck Soderberg (R-LeMars) resigned his seat to become Executive Vice President/General Manager of ABI member Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives. Gov. Terry Branstad, as required by law, has set the special election to replace Representative Soderberg in House District 5 for Nov. 3. Candidates have until Oct. 9 to file.
