Title V fees set

On May 17, the Environmental Protection Commission set the Title V fees at $67.50 per ton. Initial estimates predicted the Iowa Department of Natural Resources would be at the $70 per ton cap just one year after the legislation establishing fees was passed into law. The change was made to adjust for a projected 3.8 percent increase in emissions from the March estimate and a 4.5 percent decrease in the program’s costs.
