Two Other ABI-Backed Bills Head to Governor Reynolds

On Tuesday, the House unanimously approved SF 567 which is legislation that relates to loans originated by mortgage bankers. The bill ensures that mortgage bankers who originate loans in which points and fees charged to borrowers remain under a particular level are not required to make certain disclosures under Iowa law, which streamlines the process.
On Wednesday, the Senate unanimously passed HF 523 which will allow counties to more easily bond for infrastructure aimed at mitigating flooding. The House previously passed the legislation on March 9. ABI position: Support
