Wage payment introduced in Senate

Twenty-one members of the Iowa Senate introduced Senate File 39, which would add additional reporting requirements for employers and increase penalties in situations of improper deductions (accidental or otherwise) from employees’ paychecks. Iowa’s current code related to payment protects Iowa workers from such unfortunate situations. ABI has been opposed to this legislation for more than three years and will continue to educate members of the Iowa Senate and House as to why this bill is bad for Iowa workers and employers.
