Women in Business fundraiser celebrates Iowa leaders

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last week’s Women in Business fundraiser. By all accounts, this celebration of Iowa’s women business and civic leaders was a great success. Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds attended and enthusiastically addressed the group. Sen. Amy Sinclair (R-Allerton), Rep. Dawn Pettengill (R-Benton) and candidate Barbara Hovland also attended. More than 25 ABI members attended the event, hosted by ABI Chair Lori Schaefer-Weaton and ABI board member Kim Augspurger, who graciously allowed us to gather at her business, Saxton, Inc.

This event was a great opportunity to recognize women leaders and help increase the visibility of ABI’s political efforts. ABI is hosting another fundraiser on Sept. 27 for House Majority Leader Chris Hagenow at the ABI office.
